Snowboarder motivates disabled

Project Description

Snowboarder Bibian Mentel, was forced to amputate her leg at age 27 when she faced bone cancer twice. This did not prevent her from participating in sport, on the contrary. Four months after the amputation, she was back on her snowboard and 7 months later she was once again Dutch Champion of the fit and able! She won the gold medal at Paralympics in Sochi at age 41. She’s a motivational speaker and founder of the Mentelity foundation, an organization that helps kids and young people with physical disability to play sports.
